THE JOURNAL OF SECONDARY VOCATIONAL EDUCATION

The Journal of Secondary Vocational Education has been in circulation since 1995. Its founding bodies include the Russian Academy of Education and the Union of Secondary Vocational School Directors of Russia.

The journal is registered by the Russian Federal Service for Media Law Compliance and Cultural Heritage, the registration number is FS 77 – 22276.

According to the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK) of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the journal was entered into the registry of the leading reviewed academic periodicals for publication of the findings of the postgraduate research performed in pursuing a Master or a Doctoral degree.

The journal was entered into the VAK registry for the following fields:

•  13.00.00 Pedagogical Sciences;

•  19.00.00 Psychological Sciences.

The journal has been included in the Russian list of journals indexed (RLJI) and its impact factor (citation index) is regularly evaluated.

The mission of the journal is to promote academic excellence in secondary vocational education and facilitate integration of theoretical findings into educational practice.

The main objective of the journal is the effective information exchange and publication of research findings and relevant methodological findings in the area of secondary vocational education.

The journal materials include:

•  theoretical and empirical studies that promote development of new approaches to and new understanding of the role, function, and prospects of secondary vocational education in present-day Russia;

•  academic and methodological findings pertaining to different aspects of academic programme and process at secondary vocational schools;

•  articles that address the most up-to-date findings that promote further development and quality of secondary vocational education;

•  articles that provide historic review of secondary vocational education;

•  studies that introduce and discuss the foreign findings and practices in the area of secondary vocational education.

The journal is targeted at faculty members and heads of the SVE institutions, as well as other readers concerned with the issues of secondary vocational schools.
